Research Description
Postdoctoral positions are available to work on projects investigating synaptic plasticity, control of synaptic protein synthesis, and central control of energy balance in mice using genetic, cellular, molecular, viral, histological, physiological, and behavioral approaches. These research projects are related to many diseases, such as autism spectrum disorders, depression, obesity, and diabetes. The successful candidates also have opportunities to work on translational projects related to Huntington’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease.
Position Requirements:
In addition to a PhD in a related discipline, candidates should be highly motivated and have a strong record of productivity. Those with a strong background in electrophysiology or medicinal chemistry are particularly encouraged to apply.
